Go with a coach who has proven track of record and someone who's known in the business community. He must have relevant college degree (accounting or Business Management for example), at least 10 years experience in running his own business, and relevant trainings. He must also be sought after by other business owners from all points of the world and he has to be recognized by prominent organizations. Do a comprehensive study online and enter the title of trainers on the search page results. Through this, you'll surely find more information about them; their achievements, their gifts in the business world, etc.. These information can surely help you make setting up a consulting business well-informed decision.
That's usually far from fact. It's sensible to again conduct research and see if there is a high demand for what you have. Another problem I see is that people want to provide the same product as everyone else. If the product already isn't effective then you can't expect since you are excited about it that it'll sell well with you.
Increase your knowledge. Obviously, entrepreneurs will most likely to rely on your experience. Thus, it is a must that you have answers to their queries. Widen your knowledge on your chosen area by doing research on a regular basis. Work together with other business leaders and if needed, get firsthand experience on the things that are relevant to your consulting business. The more you improve your knowledge, the better business consultant you'll become.
